About me
The work behind Discover and Thrive…
I’m Sue Johnson, and I created this practice to help women, professionals, and organisations navigate change with greater clarity, understanding, and confidence.
My work has grown from a combination of professional training, lived experience, and a deep interest in how people move through challenge, transition, and growth. Over time, I came to see that many people are not lacking strength — they are lacking the space, language, and support to understand what is happening and what to do next.
I bring a calm, practical approach to the people I work with. Whether I am supporting an individual, facilitating a workshop, or opening up conversations around menopause, wellbeing, or delivering workplace change, my role is to help make sense of what feels complex, unspoken, or difficult to navigate.
Alongside my therapeutic and educational work, I also bring significant experience in organisational environments. I understand the language, pressures, and realities of leadership, workplace culture, and systems change. That means I can work across both human experience and organisational context — helping individuals feel supported, while also helping workplaces respond with greater maturity, clarity, and care.
My background includes art therapy, counselling, organisational development, and women’s health, with a strong commitment to evidence-based learning. Art therapy is one of the ways I help people access and express, what can be difficult to put into words. Just as importantly, it includes years of listening carefully, noticing patterns, and helping people move from uncertainty to understanding.
If you are looking for support, insight, or a place to begin making sense of change, you are welcome here.
At Discover & Thrive, the focus is simple: helping people understand what is happening, find their footing, and move forward with clarity.
